Graphic Design & Art Direction Internship (Paid)

Position Summary

We are seeking an energetic, creative, art direction and graphic design intern who is excited to work in a start-up advertising agency environment. Interns will learn from and work alongside our Creative Director and Head of Design to create client facing visuals, graphics, treatments, logos, key art, social content, presentations as well as help to concept, create and execute client facing campaigns. Our intern will provide support for our creatives through a variety of channels including: print, digital, web, and video. This is a great opportunity for an arts-loving graphic designer to develop skills in a fast-paced, highly creative environment.

Experience with Keynote / Powerpoint and the Adobe Creative Suite, most importantly Photoshop and Illustrator is essential. After Effects and video editing skills are a plus, but not essential.

This is a paid internship. We offer an hourly rate of $20-25/hour.

Qualifications and skills

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • A bachelor’s degree (or currently enrolled / or studying) in the liberal arts, design, art direction or the equivalent work.

  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

  • Self-starting, eager to contribute, and additive to Episode Four’s work product and culture is mandatory.

  • Be a simplifier, not a complicator. 

  • Be a great and gracious partner to colleagues and clients.  

  • Be a valued partner to internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Amplify the positive aspects of a project and client to motivate the team.

  • Be a hand raiser and seek opportunities to expand both Episode Four’s capabilities as well as your skills.

This internship requires a team-orientation and positive disposition. It requires the intern to be a good multi-tasker and have strong attention to detail. There will always be multiple jobs active at any moment.
